Judge Jackson was appointed to the county court bench in January 1977. Prior to his judicial appointment, he had three years’ experience as a District Court Magistrate hearing juvenile and domestic relations cases. He also served as a Deputy District Attorney for several years in the First Judicial District.

Judge Jackson hears traffic and misdemeanor criminal cases. He also hears civil cases, restraining order requests and felony criminal preliminary hearings. Attorneys, litigants and jurors overwhelmingly recommend Judge Jackson’s retention. He is evaluated by all groups surveyed as courteous, reasonable, understanding and fair to all parties. Attorneys and litigants rate this judge highly in the areas of integrity, knowledge and application of the law, and unbiased decision making. Judge Jackson is highly rated for his promptness and control over courtroom procedures. He is well liked and respected by colleagues and citizens.
